DJ Seitz grew up in a town 20 minutes outside of Rochester, NY, and has been married to his wife, Shauna, for six years. One of the greatest blessings in his life is being a “girl dad” to two incredible little girls, Navy (3) and Shiloh (1). Outside of being a husband and father, DJ works as a 5th-grade math teacher. When he’s not teaching or spending time with his family, he’s often training for a marathon or enjoying a strategic board game.

Staying connected to Jesus is a conscious effort for DJ and a choice that requires intentionality. Beyond spending time in God’s Word, which he considers non-negotiable, he stays connected by saying “small” prayers throughout the day. Whether it’s a simple “thank you, Lord” for a positive moment or lifting up a student in need, these short conversations with the Lord remind him that he’s never alone. Additionally, DJ relies on a close “band of brothers” for encouragement and accountability, helping him remain rooted in his faith through life’s highs and lows.
